Fabienne & Mike Perren – Third-Generation Hosts

A warm welcome to our home. That’s what the Hotel Cheminée means to us—a cozy place where we love to welcome our guests, acquaintances, and friends and spend enjoyable moments together with them. As ski-loving hosts, our hearts beat for winter. That’s why we created our après-ski bar, “Halali,” to round off the perfect day on the slopes.

We, Fabienne and Mike, are delighted to carry on the Hotel Cheminée into its third generation and would like to thank our predecessors.

It all began in 1980 when Monika and Berno Perren opened the “Steakhouse Cheminée” and served grilled specialties from a wood-fired grill.

In 1995, their son Christan and his wife Käthy took over the business and expanded the steakhouse into a hotel, which they ran for decades with great passion and dedication. Deeply rooted in the mountains of Zermatt, their hearts beat for the local natural beauty, which is why they have the best hiking tips to share.
